I have a question about 000webhost I’ve been using freewebs but they suck and i started a 000webshost account. I figured out how to do most the stuff but i can’t get the template that they have for download up on the site. I tried asking in the 000webhost help but they just said to upload the downloaded template into the public_html directory. I asked where in the public_html and they keep saying the same thing. I was wondering if you had any tips on how to put in a downloaded template off the 000webhosting site.

I wanted to thank you for your tutorial covering portable Ubuntu. I’m going out tomorrow to purchase a memory stick to dedicate just to this app, and your help via the video will be invaluable in setting up. Keep on trucking!

    Hi Quesoman. Thanks a lot for your tutorials they are really well done. You mention on the “wordpress tutorial” that you have made previous ones with ooowebhost.com, but I can’t find it. I am having real difficulty getting it set up on the host. I have set up my database, my sql, and have tried to manually upload the folder and ftp it to my site through dreamweaver, both unsuccessfully. I have edited the wp_config file accordingly multiple times using various tutorials and instructions. I can’t get the “admin” log in page to display in my browser without an error message. Could you provide me quick directions for ooowebhost.com with 5 previous html pages on site. This is an example of my problem;

So i’ve found your videos very helpful, but i’m still lost in creating my own website. I work from a macbookpro, but yet that doesn’t do all the work.

I’m hosting thru holeinthewallhosting.com and my domain is thru godaddy.com

the gist of what i’m trying to do is in all the jumble below- (you could skip it)

I'd like there to be a central navigating bar at top center on every page containing different links/pages such as:
"Home" "Bio" "Resume" "Blog" "Photos" "Video" "Contact" "Press"

I think all of the pages should have the same background/theme. I think that keeps it from looking too busy.

Home will have a Welcome image of myself and a little welcome message and the last updated date.

Bio will contain my past, present, and future aspirations.

Resume will be pretty simple, a print of the latest copy of my resume and two video links, (square images to click on) to my hosting reel, and tv news reel.

Blog i would like to automatically import from Tumblr, I'm not sure how hard that is.

Photos will just be a bunch of square icons titled and able to link to the whole album on another page. This will just give a little closer look into projects, a little behind the scenes.

Video will have another square format, but when you click on the video it pops up over the page to play past news stories.

The Contact page will be really simple. A large photo and name, e-mail, phone number, ect.

The press page will contain newspaper articles i've been the subject of, ect.

I'd also like twitter, youtube, myspace, and facebook links at the bottom of each page. These are all blocked to people who're not my friends, except for youtube, but I feel it is important to show future employers I am out there on the web.

I’ve worked a little bit with iweb, but it looks a little amateur for my liking.

What should I do? I don’t even really know where to start.

This site is hosted on http://byethost.com/’s free hosting. I would certainly recommend them, they have never given me any trouble and have excellent specs, especially for free hosting. 10GB storage and 10GB transfer. It is excellent!
