Have you ever heard of vBulletin? It’s considered one of the best CMS’s in existance but it is very expensive. Now, however, it has a competitor! Simple Machines has released a release candidate of the 2.0 version of their forum. In design it is very similar to vBulletin, you can create home pages as well as forums inside the same CMS. It is loaded with settings and is really customizable. Oh, and did I mention that it’s FREE! You should definately check this out if you like lots of settings and customization or if you were considering buying vBulletin.
